On 19 November 2015, Bouie headlined an article in Slate: Donald Trump Is Actually a Moderate Republican.[1] Six days later he headlined an article, again in Slate: Donald Trump Is a Fascist, in which he claimed that "In the past week, however, “Donald Trump as fascist” has gone from hyperbolic to mainstream."[2]
