Josh Arnold-Foster is a member of the Institute for Statecraft. As of 2020 his Linkedin page had no mention of the affiliation.[1]

Career

From 2005-2006 Arnold-Foster was a "special adviser" to John Reid, UK defence secretary. During this time he provided advice to Reid on 'planning for Helmand Task Force deployment, contributed to drafting of 2005 Defence Industrial Strategy and helped develop the case for the disposal for Chelsea Barracks'.

In 2007 he reports that he worked in Kabul and "co-produced report on integration of security and development in ADB projects in Afghanistan".

He joined Hanover Communications in 2007 and has provided political and strategic advice to clients including Lockheed Martin, the Ministry of Defence's Service Complaints Commission, the Government of Alberta, the Royal British Legion and EADS UK.[2]

In 2009 he wrote that Kim Howells is wrong to call for a British pullout from Afghanistan.

Institute for Statecraft

Josh Arnold-Foster's name was marked (DV), meaning "Developed Vetting", together with Diane Allen, Perry Fawcett, Roger Golland, Andy Settle, Steve Johnson, Phil Jolley, and Andrew Shortland.[3]
