Refugees International is an NGO that does not accept government funding, which "enables them to speak freely, underlining policies that are working well as well as where global action falls short". But the 'NGO' is filled with military/intelligence actors, leading on to think it might have been created to create the media foundation for humanitarian interventions.
“If I’m reading in the newspaper about a crisis somewhere in the world, it is of great consolation to me to know that, if not at this moment, then very soon I will be hearing from Refugees International about how we should think about the crisis and more importantly what we should do about it.””
Samantha Powers, regime change peddler and former US ambassador to the UN [1]
Leadership Compensation
Of donations of approx. $6 million, $800.000 went to the top 5 leaders.

Open Society Foundations | A NGO operating in more countries than McDonald's. It has the tendency to support politicians (at times through astroturfing) and activists that get branded as "extreme left" as its founder is billionaire and bane of the pound George Soros. This polarizing perspective causes the abnormal influence of the OSF to go somewhat unanswered. |
