Dr. Gordon James Fraser MacDonald was a US scientist for the deep state Mitre Corporation with interest in electronic surveillance and weather modification.
Activities
MacDonald chaired the JASON committee that designed the Vietnam War's "McNamara Line" system of electronic border surveillance. MacDonald's garage in Santa Barbara was burned down.[1]
Weather modification was one of many areas in which the federal government, through both its armed forces and its civilian agencies, was funding scientific research aimed at improving our capacity to understand, control, and modify the environment. In 1961, I was appointed to the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Atmospheric Sciences (1961-1970) and the President’s Science Advisory Committee Panel on Atmospheric Sciences (1961-1964); three years later I was appointed to the National Science Foundation Advisory Panel for Weather Modification (1964-1967).[2]
