Gerald A. Perreira is a Guyanese political activist, educator, writer and commentator, and a committed Pan-Africanist.[1]

Overview

He lived in the Libyan Jamahiriya for many years and was a founding member of the World Mathaba, based in Tripoli, Libya.[2] The Mathaba brought together revolutionary movements from all over Africa, South America, the Caribbean and throughout the world.

Perreira is part of a Caribbean wide think tank, set up by the US minister Louis Farrakhan. In 2015, he was refused entry to Jamaica.[1]

He is a leader of the Organization for the Victory of the People based in Guyana and an executive member of the Caribbean Chapter of the Network for the Defense of Humanity and the Caribbean Pan-African Network (CPAN).[3][4]
