Atlanta is a US city.

Background

Atlanta is the capital of the U.S. state of Georgia. It is the seat of Fulton County, the most populous county in Georgia, although a portion of the city extends into neighboring DeKalb County. With a population of 498,715 living within the city limits, it is the eighth most populous city in the Southeast and 38th most populous city in the United States according to the 2020 U.S. census.[1]

Government Infiltrators

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) staff attorney Thomas Jurgens was among the dozen of rioters arrested following a violent attack on police at the proposed site of the Atlanta Police Foundation’s training facility, located a few miles south of the city in 2023, Yahoo reported.[2]

Atlanta Athletes

Brandon Goodwin, former Atlanta Hawk, was banned from competing in 2021 because of blood clots he believes were caused by the COVID vaccine. Goodwin said team officials told him not to disclose his diagnosis.[3]

Corruption

Sex trafficking was - especially among black Americans - a big problem in Atlanta during the 2020s.[4]

Sex trafficking is a $300-million industry in Atlanta - ANF

Former City of Atlanta Director of Human Services, Mitzi L. Bickers, was been sentenced to 14 years in prison for accepting approximately $3 million in bribe money to influence government contracts in 2022. She was accused of skilful money laundering, lying to the City of Atlanta to maintain her salary and cabinet-level position, and failing to disclose more than $600,000 in income on her federal tax return, once again proving the IRS are the ones one should not mess with.[5]
