The Duran is a media outlet that focuses on realpolitik news and analysis and was created in May 2016 after Peter Lavelle severed his ties with Russia Insider.[1]
Cyprus-based DRN Media PLC owns The Duran, its President and Chairman is Alex Christoforou[2] and its Editor-in-Chief is Alexander Mercouris.[3]
Funding for The Duran comes from Paypal and Patreon donations, as well as advertising.[4]
