John Bercow (born 19 January 1963) is a British politician who was Speaker of the House of Commons from 2009 to 2019. Bercow currently serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Buckingham since the UK/1997 General Election. Prior to his election as Speaker, he was a Conservative Party MP.[1]
