Career
"Dr. Fritz Gerber served in the Federal Department of Economic Affairs at Bern and is a Member of the Swiss appointment arranging the section of Switzerland into the GATT. Mr. Gerber filled in with respect to 'Zürich' Insurance agency, Zurich since 1958, as manager since 1969, as Executive of the Administration Board since 1974 and filled in as chairman of the board from 1977 to 1995. He also served as the CEO of Roche.
In 1986, the company released Roferon-A, a treatment for rare forms of cancer and continued to grow in business and in 1994, the company acquires Syntex Corporation, that later became the Roche Bioscience, a major development site for R&D."[1]
