Dr. Cheng Li is director of the John L. Thornton China Center and a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institute. He is also a director of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
Background
In 1985 came to the United States for graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He later received a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
