Sir Raymond William Whitney OBE was a suspected UK Deep state operative and politician.
Career
Whitney was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. Whitney was elected as Member of Parliament for Wycombe in a by-election in 1978 and stepped down at the 2001 general election when he was replaced by Paul Goodman. Before being elected to parliament, he was head of the Information Research Department[1], the Foreign Office's covert propaganda department. He was a junior minister in the Department of Health and Social Security as well as a junior Foreign Office Minister.
