The first policeman on the scene of the Oklahoma City bombing. Reportedly a suicide.

Sergeant Terrance Yeakey of the Oklahoma City Police Department, was the first officer on the scene [1] of the Oklahoma City bombing, which occurred on April 19, 1995.

A video by James Corbett - Requiem for the Suicided: Terrance Yeakey (Odysee backup)

Official narrative

"For whatever reason, the Oklahoma City Police Dept. has always down-played Officer Terry Yeakey's presence at the Murrah Building the morning of April 19, 1995, even though a large number of Oklahoma City police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel and survivors KNOW he played a much larger role in the early rescue-effort than he's given credit for."[2]

The narrative about his death suggests that Yeakey slit his wrists and neck, then climbed a barbed wire fence and walked over a mile before shooting himself in the head.[3]

Reporting

On May 11, 1996, the New York Times ran a story with the headline “A Policeman Who Rescued 4 in Bombing Kills Himself.”[3][4]
