He was an adviser to UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
1MDB Scandal
In August 2019 Griffiths was criminally charged with defrauding the Malaysian government for his alleged role in the 1MDB scandal.[1] If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 10 years in jail.[2]
