In 1969, he founded the Ligue Internationale de la Liberté (LIL), the Belgian branch of the World Anti-Communist League.

In 1983, together with three other Cercle members: Jacques Jonet, Robert Close‎ and Nicolas de Kerchove, he founded the European Institute for Peace and Security to counter pacifist groups.
