Career
Ostrovsky worked for Vice News and covered the Ukrainian civil war.[1]

Robbie Martin writes about his Ukraine reporting: “when VICE was dominating coverage of the early Ukraine war (2015-2016) Ostrovsky was *the* main dude, adding a hip aesthetic to what was very much pro US slanted propaganda. no idea he was working with Bellingcat who is a 100% blatant state asset, but am totally not surprised.” [2] Bellingcat was involved with the documentary Selfie Soldiers: Russia Checks in to Ukraine!,[3] for which Ostrovsky won the duPont Award in early 2016.[4]
