“What if a small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment. Will they do it? The group’s conclusion is ‘no’. Maurice Strong was a Canadian deep state actor who was a protege of the Rockefeller family from the 1950s onward[2]. An oil and mineral businessman cum diplomat he was a UN Under-Secretary-General. ISGP places him at the top of the Canadian section of their "Global Superclass index".[3]
Activities
Maurice Strong was the founder of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and chairman of the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment, and 1992 Rio Conference. Strong was also the architect of Canada’s (neo-colonial) foreign policy towards Africa with his 1968 founding of the Canadian International Development Agency. Strong was also early member of the Club of Rome and Vice-President of the WWF under its then-President Prince Philip.
