Lisa J. Peterson is an American diplomat and former United States Ambassador to Eswatini.
Career
She joined the foreign service in 1989.
As ambassador, she was opposed to Ambrose Dlamini's appointment as Prime Minister of Eswatini and called it unconstitutional, as he was not a member of the House of Assembly at the time. She also said the appointment could affect the amount of development aid from the US to Swaziland in future.[1] He later died under mysterious circumstances.
