Canadian corporate think-tanker and conference arranger who attended Bilderberg/1982, presumably to prepare for Bilderberg/1983

James R. Nininger was president of the think-tank and corporate conference arranger Conference Board of Canada.[1][2] He attended the 1982 Bilderberg meeting, presumably to prepare for the 1983 meeting.

Conference Board of Canada

Nininger retired as chief executive officer of the Conference Board of Canada in 2001, after 23 years with the company.[3]

The Conference Board of Canada is, according to itself, "the foremost independent, applied research organization in Canada. We master complexity through our trusted research and unparalleled connections—delivering unique insight into Canada's toughest problems so leaders can build a stronger future." [4]

The Conference Board of Canada was established in 1954 as a division of the American National Industrial Conference Board, now simply known as The Conference Board. The Conference Board of Canada acquired a separate legal identity in 1981.[5]

Other positions

Nininger sat boards of directors of Montreal-based Power Corporation of Canada and Calgary-based Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. He designed the new governance structure for Ottawa Hospital, where he was a volunteer board member, and a visiting fellow with the Ottawa-based Canadian Centre for Management Development.[3]
