Jaap van Dissel is a Dutch virologist and infectiologist.
Van Dissel is director of the Infectious disease control Centre of the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment or (RIVM). He is also a professor at Leiden University with a specialization in Internal Medicine, in particular infectious diseases.
