Jérémie Zimmermann is the co-founder and former spokesperson of La Quadrature du Net, an organization for the defense of citizens' rights and freedoms on the Internet.
Overview
He was administrator of April, an association for the promotion and defense of free software from 2004 to 2014.
He is the co-founder and former spokesperson of La Quadrature du Net from 2008 to 2014. He is a member of the strategic orientation college[1].
He received the 2012 EFF Pioneer Award from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, along with other personalities and groups[2].
He sat for a time on the ethics committee of the association Nos oignons, whose purpose is “to participate in the development of the Tor electronic communications network, in order to guarantee the freedoms of information, expression and communication."
On October 1, 2018, he officially left La Quadrature du Net by resigning from his status as a member[3].

He appeared with Julian Assange on Episode 8 and Episode 9 of The World Tomorrow, "Cypherpunks: 1/2".[4][5]
He is a contributor to Julian Assange's 2012 book Cypherpunks: Freedom and the Future of the Internet along with Jacob Appelbaum and Andy Müller-Maguhn (OR Books, ISBN 978-1-939293-00-8).[6]
