Facebook's oversight board

Origins

Mark Zuckerberg suggested the idea of an oversight board in November 2018.[1]

Members

The first 20 members, scheduled to serve 3 year terms, were appointed in May 2020. The board is planned to have 40 members, of whom the remaining 20 were scheduled to be picked in 2021.[1] The group is chaired by Catalina Botero-Marino.[2]
