Clair Josephine Crawford Dobbin is a British barrister who was called to the bar in November 1999.[2]
Clair Dobbin is a specialist in public inquiries, inquests, public law (with a special interest in children's rights) and international co-operation law (extradition, diplomatic law and mutual assistance). She has been Treasury Counsel since 2004 ('A' Panel since 2014).
In May 2022, Clair Dobbin was appointed as one of eleven Queen’s Counsel to form part of the legal team supporting Hugo Keith QC, Lead Counsel to the Covid-19 pandemic Public Inquiry.[3]
Clair Dobbin has appeared for the US government at the Julian Assange extradition appeal hearings,[4] and is currently counsel to the Rochdale and Lambeth children's homes investigations in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.[5]
