The Chairman of the Atlantic Council of the United States is definitely a part of the deep state[1]. Most chairmen have the traditional career of moving between think tanks, board positions in large, mostly military-industrial, corporations and government positions.
Some have higher profiles than others, like Secretaries of Defense or presidential advisors, while others stay in the shadows.
In 1961, former Secretaries of State Dean Acheson and Christian Herter, with Will Clayton, William Foster, Theodore Achilles and other distinguished Americans, recommended the consolidation of the U.S. citizens groups supporting the Atlantic Alliance into the Atlantic Council of the United States. [2]
Also worth looking at are Vice-Chairmen and the composition of the Atlantic Council board, which consists exclusively of deep state operators.
