Alexandra Mitsotaki is a member of the Mitsotakis family, a family that has ruled Greece for 145 of the 200 years since the establishment of the modern Greek state.
She founded ActionAid Hellas in 1998 and is its Chair. In this capacity, in 2014 she co-founded Greece's first microcredit institution, Action Finance Initiative (AFI). In 2009 she became director of the Greek Cultural Centre in Paris.

The Mitsotakis family is a political dynasty that has been in power for 145 of the 200 years since the establishment of the modern Greek state.[1]
Her brother Kyriakos Mitsotakis in July 2019 became Prime Minister of Greece.
