DescriptionThe "Great War" and the "War to End War". Perhaps 10 million killed; cannon-fodder for the grandiose ambitions of evil men.

The official history of the First World War is a deliberately concocted lie. Not the sacrifice, the heroism, the horrendous waste of life or the misery that followed. These were and are all too real; but the truth of how it all began and how it was unnecessarily and deliberately prolonged beyond 1915, has been successfully covered up for a century. A carefully falsified history was created to conceal the fact that Britain, not Germany, was responsible for the war. Had the truth become widely known after 1918, the consequences for the British Establishment would have been cataclysmic. [1]

Background

The last quarter of the nineteenth century saw the British Empire at its absolute zenith. This context and the manner in which it was viewed and promoted by its architects and beneficiaries, is fundamental to understanding how the war came about. The dominance of the British Empire over much of the planet and its peoples had been achieved and was sustained by the ruthless application of naval and other military power. Any perceived threat to that dominance - and its further expansion - was always going to be met with at least equal ruthlessness, together with the finely tuned, deceptive intelligence and diplomatic trade-craft that historically had always accompanied it.

As the nineteenth century drew to a close, it was Germany above all other countries, that was viewed as a developing threat to the Empire's dominance and careful secret alliances and plans were continuously honed and developed to deal with it. Outward manifestations of these plans were the Entente Cordiale of 1904 [2] and subsequent Anglo-Russian and French-Russian alliance agreements - the so-called Triple Alliance. But what these alliance agreements did not reveal, either to Parliament or the general public, were secret codicils committing Britain to military action in support of France and giving France uncontested suzerainty over Morocco at the (secret) expense of Germany - much of the surviving documents confirming these secret agreements are still withheld from public scrutiny, but the basic facts about them are proven beyond doubt. The official version

The immediate proximate cause - the casus-belli of the Official Narrative - was the assassination in Sarajevo of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by a young student, Gavrilo Princip, acting in concert with a few other members of a small but (allegedly) isolated group of Bosnian Serb nationalists. The assassination is held to have provided a warmongering Germany with an excuse to support Austria in forcefully holding the Serbian authorities to account, knowing that in doing so it would provoke France Russia and Britain beyond endurance. In other words, that Germany engineered events in order to to justify pre-planned military aggression and the subjugation of the rest of Europe - and in so doing, took everyone by surprise. Root causes of the war are said to have been German militarism, German expansionism, the kaiser’s bombastic nature and ambitions, and the last straw: Germany’s invasion of innocent, neutral Belgium.

What really happened

Full article: World War I/Genesis

A close-knit secretive group of unscrupulous men, whose roots and origins were in Britain, were intent on both defending and expanding Britain's existing Imperial dominance of much of the planet against actual or potential challenge. In the decade or so preceding war, Germany was seen as a serious looming challenge that would have to be dealt with. Vast personal fortunes were involved. The self-justifications of this group are expressed in the social philosophy of John Ruskin [4] and propagandised in the stirring prose and poetry of Rudyard Kipling [5]. The entire world was to be ruled, through the benign subjugation of lesser races, by an enlightened Anglo-Saxon empire whose functionaries were enjoined to "take up the White Man's burden" [6]. This group of men, organised and tasked in the manner of an elite secret society, deliberately sought and planned for war to crush Germany between France and Russia, and orchestrated events in order to bring this about.
