Gary Webb

The way the information in the article of Gary Webb's death is represented right now, and the way I see it, Webb may be not a good/likely example for state execution, it may well have been a real suicide. Not 100 percent sure, but mostly. Then, here and in other places on this website, is he a proper example to cite or should it be another one? I would (propose) to adjust accordingly. I agree that suicide is more of a possibility with Gary Webb than some others, for example Jeffrey Epstein, so perhaps Epstein's "suicide" would be a better illustration. Where are you proposing to make changes? -- Robin (talk) 08:57, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
First here where it is about people who were assassinated (mostly) by gunshot. I would put Mark Minnie instead, its basically the same situation, maybe with reference to Philip Marshall too, and/or David Crowley (yet to be created). I would say the statement that Webb was driven to suicide is fair, so I will put that in the lede there in the future. Otherwise I had a short look around but cant find anything where Webb is mentioned in as it is here, so thats it for the moment I guess. Sunvalley (talk) 05:47, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
For clarification, I should have better put it this way: "its basically the same situation," - like the use of Gary Webb was intended here in the first place. (reporter covering critical topic, getting killed by the groups he exposes). On David Crowley I have now read this article, so it really looks more like a tragic family killing/suicide to me now.Sunvalley (talk) 05:27, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
