Suspect multinational construction company.

Multiplex is an Australian construction company based in London. They have been involved in projects in Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand and Dubai. They specialise in residential high-rise buildings, stadiums, hospitals and other civil infrastructure developments.

Many of their projects have been undervalued and overbudget.

History

In 2019, the construction of two hospitals in Scotland sparked a public enquiry about safety.[1]

In August 2020, Multiplex was identified as the slowest payer among major UK contractors, taking more than 50 days on average to settle its bills.[2]

In 2021, they won the tender to build Melbourne’s Centre for National Resilience, a huge facility in Victoria State meant to be used for mandatory quarantine..[3]
