Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs. They are widely taken worldwide as treatment for conditions including depression, anxiety or insomnia.

Withdrawal

Sudden withdrawal can cause depression, insomnia, confusion, seizures or death. Tapered withdrawal from benzodiazepines can last years.[1]
