Kathryn Sloan Clark (Baroness Clark of Kilwinning) (born 3 July 1967)[1] is a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Ayrshire and Arran from the 2005 to the 2015 General Election when she lost her seat to Patricia Gibson, the SNP candidate. In 2014 Katy Clark stood as a left candidate to be Deputy Leader of the Scottish Labour Party arguing for a the abolition of the Trident nuclear programme. Kezia Dugdale was elected Deputy Leader.[2]

In April 2019, Katy Clark, who was Jeremy Corbyn’s political secretary and went on to work in Jennie Formby’s office, was shifted up the London list of Euro-MP candidates into one of three pole positions,[3] but failed to be elected in the May 2019 European Parliament elections.[4]

She was made a Baroness in the House of Lords in May 2021. She won a seat in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election the same month.
