Carlo Sartori was an Italian TV manager at RAI and a prominent mass media analyst.[1]
Early Life
Sartori was born in Castel del Piano (Grosseto) on 3 July 1946. He studied at Stanford University and was a visiting professor at Columbia University in New York. He taught mass communications at the IULM University of Milan, at the LUISS in Rome, at the faculty of sociology of the University of Urbino, and at Sapienza University of Rome.[2]
He was special correspondent for La Stampa, director of external and international relations of Rai, and president of the Italian association of radio and television critics. He also directed what later became Rai World. He was the author of numerous essays and books on communication and television.
