Yvonne Fletcher	1959	17 April 1984	Policewoman	Yvonne Fletcher was shot dead while on duty during a protest outside the Libyan embassy on 17 April 1984, cue for the breakdown of diplomatic relations between the UK and Libya. In 2017 a decision was announced not to prosecute her murder on grounds of "national security".
