On October 25, 2002, Wellstone, along with seven others, died in an airplane crash in northern Minnesota, at 10:22 a.m. The other victims were his wife, Sheila Wellstone; one of his three children, Marcia; the two pilots, his driver, and two campaign staffers.
Official narrative
The NTSB stated that the likely cause of the accident was "the flight crew's failure to maintain adequate airspeed, which led to an aerodynamic stall from which they did not recover." The mass media widely reported bad weather in the area—freezing rain, snow, icing, and fog, with poor visibility—and implied that the weather had caused the crash.[1]
Alternative explanations
Several researchers, include jim fetzer and John Costella have suggested that Wellstone's plane crash was no accident, citing irregularities in the NTSB's investgation.[1] Mark Gorton includes the assassination of Paul Wellstone on his list of crimes of The Cabal.[2]
