The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George (SMOCG) is a dynastic order of knighthood with Catholic members.

The order prioritizes recruitment of military personnel.

Stay behind

In the Norwegian branch, many of the members were also part of stay behind during the Cold War, including Harald Grande, the "janitor" of the old stay behind; Jan-Erik Wilhelmsen; and Kåre Norwald Eikeland.[1]

Around 2004, the son of Kåre Norwald Eikeland, Stig Junker Eikeland, recruited mercenary Jostein Mølbach to the order, in an attempt to revitalize it. Mølbach was shown a basement in Oslo containing 30 cubic meters of guns, revolvers and ammunition of slightly older vintage, which he presumed originated from stay behind depots. The weapons were in the process of being packaged for transport, possibly to be sent to covert operations or armed conflicts abroad.[1]

According to Mølbach, members of the order had also removed large parts of the archives of the Norwegian Intelligence Service before the 1994 Lund Commission was to investigate illegal surveillance. The archive cases were hidden in trucks with aid shipments for Latvia, redirected to Bergen, where they were hidden in an old submarine bunker, before the trucks continued to Latvia.[1]
