Dr. Michael Nehls is a medical researcher and author who published The Indoctrinated Brain about the neural aspect of The Great Reset social change project. He suggests that a lot of the "COVID response"

Ideas

Nehls highlighted the neural aspect of The Great Reset. Building on his ideas which link Alzheimer's disease to a purposeless of existence and lack of social interaction, he suggests that the "COVID response" may have been designed to traumatise people. He predicted[When?][citation needed] a rise in depression and Alzheimer's disease.

"Index neurons"

Nehls highlights the crucial role of adult neurogensis in the hippocampus in the creation of new memories. These "index neurons", as he terms them, are used by people making sense of their experiences. The predictable effect of the "COVID response" such as the COVID lockdowns, he says, is the suppression of people's ability to pursue their passions, leading to a shrinking of the hippocampus. If a state is reached in which these neurons are no longer created, memories are "indexed" by re-applying existing neurons, leading to a loss of integrity of existing memories and sense of self, rendering people more compliant particularly to narratives laced with strong emotions which are prioritised by the hippocampus.

"Mental immune system"

Nehls uses the phrase "mental immune system" to refer to the broad phenomenon of mental resilience. He suggests that the production of index neurons is a

"Spiking programme"

Nehls terms the COVID jabs a "spiking programme", and noting that the spike proteins are biologically active, and that the lipid nanoparticles can penetrate the blood-brain barrier, he suggests that an aim of the project is to suppress index neuron production.

Fear-based narratives

Nehls notes that the 2020s have seen a burgeoning of fear-based narratives, which although diverse (ranging, for example, from pandemics to the spectre of nuclear armageddon to a ramping up of the "climate crisis") appear to be emanating from a single source.
