Eric Liang Feigl-Ding is an American public health scientist. He was formerly a faculty member and researcher at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is also the Chief Health Economist for Microclinic International. His research has primarily focused on obesity, nutrition, and cancer prevention, with advocacy focused on those issues and biosecurity.
In early January 2020, Feigl-Ding warned about COVID-19 and called for preparedness. His call went viral on Twitter and was quickly recognized by the news media. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Feigl-Ding's Twitter posts on the matter have been popular. He has commented on the pandemic and mitigation efforts in various media, urging action. He has been called an "alarmist attention-seeker".[1]
He is a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow,[2] and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.[3] The later reference being removed from Wikipedia on 5th December 2021.[4]
