Traditional lawful proceeding in which a jury makes a decision or findings of fact. Much disliked and tried abolished by the PTB.

A jury trial, or trial by jury, is a lawful proceeding in which a jury makes a decision or findings of fact. It is distinguished from a bench trial in which a judge or panel of judges makes all decisions.

Because it lets regular people have a say in the legal system, it is much disliked by the powers-that-be, and there is a concerted effort to abolish it. The change to professional judges shifts the bias away from acquittal and toward conviction.

Norway

Juries were used from 1887 to 2019. The reason for abolishing the system was that they gave to many acquittals.
