Mehmet Ağar was warned of the assassination plot which lead to the Susurluk car crash and he told the others (Abdullah Çatlı, Gonca Us, Huseyin Kocadağ, Sedat Bucak) to leave without him.[1]

Activities

In 1996, Hüseyin Baybaşin claimed that the heroin distribution operations were controlled by Mehmet Ağar. In 1997 he claimed further that Turkish president Suleyman Demirel and Turkish Prime minister Tansu Ciller were also involved.[2]
