Parler is an American alt-tech microblogging and social networking service. It has been described as an alternative to Twitter, and users include those banned from mainstream social networks or opposing their moderation policies.
Take down 2021
After accusations that Parler was used to coordinate the 2021 storming of the U.S. Capitol, several companies denied service and Apple and Google removed Parler's mobile app from their stores. Parler went offline entirely from January 10th 2021 on, after Amazon Web Services canceled its hosting services.[1][2][3][4]
John Matze the CEO started to receive death threats.[5][6]
Many thanks to our Patrons who cover ~2/3 of our hosting bill. Please join them if you can.
