Not to be confused with its sister organization the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, with a regional presence in Brazil, Singapore, and Australia, is a private 501(c)(3) non-governmental, nonprofit global organization. Its stated purpose is to combat child sexual exploitation, child pornography, and child abduction. Its Board of Trustees has some curious members.
People
The International Center for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) held its first Board of Directors meeting in May 1998.[1] It was officially launched in April 1999 at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., by Hillary Clinton, then-First Lady of the United States, and Cherie Blair, wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair.[2]
For an organization dealing with a serious issue, it has some curious Board Members:
- Franz Humer, former chairman of the alcohol manufacturer Diageo
- Dennis DeConcini tied to several corruption scandals as a US Senator
- Victor Halberstadt steering committee of the Bilderberg Group. Has attended more Bilderberg meetings than anyone else alive.
- Jeff Koons Artist who became famous for his pornographic art
- Osamu Nagayama Japanese businessman deep politician
- Raymond F. Schinazi seems to have played a large role in the promoting of AZT, which killed a generation of people declared to have AIDS in the early 1990s.
