Björn Mattsson is a Finnish businessman[1]. He attended the 1995 Bilderberg conference.
Background
Mattsson was born on the small island of Houtskär, and is of Swedish-Finnish heritage. He received a licentiate in philosophy in 1974.
Career
He ended up in Stockholm in 1977 and a few years later as a PC salesman for Ericsson. He held various positions at Partek Corporation 1968–1987; was managing director of Cultor (formerly Finska socker), which specializes in products for the food and feed industries, 1988–1999[2]. In December 1995, Pfizer sold its food science group to Cultor or $352.5 million.[3]
When he was CEO of Cultor, he made a personal profit in 1998 of FIM 7.5 million, when he used the option to sell his shares, before an interim report was published leading to a big price drop in the share price.[4]
He was deputy CEO of Danisco A/S 2000–2001. He moved back to Stockholm in 2009. He has also been CEO of Visma Software AB and later CEO of Heads Svenska AB. He has had multiple board positions.
