Dr. Robert Mercer is a hedge fund manager. He co-founded Cambridge Analytica with Steve Bannon. Carole Cadwalladr referred to him in a Guardian article as "the big data billionaire waging war on mainstream media".[1]

Mercer is a major funder of Brexit, Breitbart News, Obama's political campaign and that of Donald Trump.
