Belarusian sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya refused to go home, and was granted asylum in Poland. Many BLM protests.

2024

South Korea gets named North Korea.[1] Paris "secretly detained and removed 1000 people", implying there are 1000 migrants and homeless people in Paris that shouldn't be roaming the street, but appear to only be on the scope of the Police when the Olympics are there. It didn't stop a gang rape occurring one week before the opening of the games.[2]

Security inside the football stadium intervened and separated a group of pro-Palestine protestors and Israel fans, and the Palestine pro people were removed from the stadium.[3]

Members of the Algerian Olympic delegation threw roses into the river Seine during the opening ceremony in memory of the victims of the Paris massacre of 1961, where as many as 200 Algerian independence protesters were killed.[4]

The High-speed rail network of Eurostar suffered from multiple instances of coordinated sabotage, suspected to be - according to the French police - the work of "Extreme Left Terrorists".[5][6]
