Statement to voters

"I am Norfolk born and bred, and still live here with my fiancée and two primary school age children.

"I was one of the first in my family to go to university, at UEA; I am Leader of the Green Party; I’ve been a senior lecturer; and for the last decade, a national charity chief executive. I am standing, not to gain power, but because I care deeply about this area and improving people’s lives. I will do what’s right for constituents and won’t be told how to act and vote by a party.

"After 14 years of Conservative government, nothing seems to work and public services are being hollowed out. I won’t over-promise what I can achieve as an individual MP. But I can promise that I will campaign - inside and out of Parliament - to restore our public services, to ensure everyone can once more see an NHS dentist and make GP appointments, to build more affordable housing, to clean up our rivers, to invest in sustainable flood protection and to make life better for our communities."[3]
