'Pardongate'
Bill Clinton gave presidential pardons to 450 people, including Marc Rich. On his last day in office, he pardoned 140 people, an episode the commercially-controlled media dubbed "pardongate". Among these were a range of people with various personal and/or business connections to Clinton. Various sources have suggested that some of those pardoned paid money to Tony Rodham, Hillary Clinton's youngest brother.[2][3]

- Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory (bank fraudsters);
- Susan McDougal, who had been imprisoned for refusing to testify to Bill Clinton's role in the Whitewater scandal
