Hospitalization
President Zeman was hospitalized 10 October 2021 for an undisclosed illness. Zeman was escorted by ambulance from his Prague residence immediately following a meeting there in company with Prime Minister Andrej Babis.[1] The medical emergency follows one day after the outcome of the 2021 Czech Legislative Election, in which Babis and his party ANO 2011 failed to secure re-election against the centre-right Spolu party.[2]
