Career
Jarl Köhler joined Finnpap (the Association of Finnish Paper Mills) as a salesman in the mid-1950s, moving to Cairo in the early 1960s as Finnpap's representative. In the late 1960s, he moved to London to become Finnpap's Sales Director, and in 1971, he became managing director of the London unit. In 1979, he returned to Finland as CEO of Finnboard (a Finnish cardboard sales association), a post he held until 1990. He was CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Forest Industries in 1990–1996.
