Harald Jarl Fredrik Köhler is a Finnish industrial leader.

Career

Jarl Köhler joined Finnpap (the Association of Finnish Paper Mills) as a salesman in the mid-1950s, moving to Cairo in the early 1960s as Finnpap's representative. In the late 1960s, he moved to London to become Finnpap's Sales Director, and in 1971, he became managing director of the London unit. In 1979, he returned to Finland as CEO of Finnboard (a Finnish cardboard sales association), a post he held until 1990. He was CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Forest Industries in 1990–1996.

After Finland joined the European Union in 1994 after a few years negotiation, Finnboard's operation as a co-operation organization of competitors became impossible due to cartel regulations.

In the early 1990s, the forest industry's association wanted Köhler to lead a Finnish advocacy organisation for the internationalisation of the forest industry. He was seen as fit for the job due to his long international career.

Jarl Köhler was mentioned in the Panama Papers[1][2], with a suspected tax evading account there.
