Niels Werring jr. is not to be confused with his father, Niels Werring sr. He was a partner at the shipping company Wilh. Wilhelmsen during the period 1958–2000 and was also a board member of several companies such as the shipyard Akers Mekaniske, Andresens Bank and Norsk Brændselolje.[1] He was member of the Concervative Party, Høyre Board member Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
He attended the Bilderberg conferences in 1991, 1992 & 1993 (and possibly earlier years, he might have been confused with his father).
