He was the longest serving US Secretary of State.

In 2009, the Daily Mail alleged that Hull received the Red House Report about the Nazi plans to survive the end of World War II.[1]

He was granted the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 for his role in establishing the United Nations, and was referred to by President Roosevelt as the "Father of the United Nations".
