Bernard Mach is a Swiss biochemist who was professor and director of the Department of Genetics and Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva.[1][2]
Activities
He was a Graduate Fellow at the Rockefeller Institute 1960-65.
Bernard Mach is the inventor of cDNA cloning and is specialized in the molecular biology of immune response genes,[3] and has researched on cloning[4] and RNA.[5]
He was a Member of the Swiss Science Council (1974-1984).[1]
He was the co-founder of MaxiVAX, a private Swiss clinical-stage biotech company developing novel anti-cancer vaccines. He retired as chairman in 2017.[6]
He was also founder in 1998 of Novimmune.[7][8]
